Mr. Welling,

I have never had the opportunity to meet you or speak with you by phone. It does seem, however that you have decided that both me and the Project I represent should be despised for even trying to something for South Minneapolis. Your postings are very inflammatory and based on what must be either your own thinking or hearsay from someone's distorted view of the facts. Either way, your e-mail statements have been terribly unfair because they are not representative of any of the facts that are, and always, been, available for this Project.

I do not mind being challenged or criticized. But, please present accurate information and then criticize it if you wish. the rhetoric coming from some of the postings represents an obvious attempt on your part to discredit me., Smith Parker , the Phillips Partnership and anyone else who has come to understand the reason for and value of the Project and has decided to support it. That's fine, thats your right, but I must advise you that many, many more people support this Project than oppose it and they , along with those undecided, have come to seperate the rhetoric from the facts.

I would be eager to discuss any part, or all, of this Project with you at your convience but if you feel the facts may be to your disadvantage, then I'll know why you chose to not accept my offer. TOM JOHNSON
