from the recipient of the message:

I suppose this is not very bullying but the tone was a bit aggressive. Still I was somewhat taken aback to get such an insulting message which sounded threatening when you consider a high-level member of a law firm is accusing me of making false statements. In my mind, I'm wondering will I next find myself defending myself in a lawsuit filed by SmithParker simply to shut me down?

Note that the posting he refers to is one where I described ... [reference to post of Issues Forum questioning several assertions by project proponents, the responses to which were then reported on the Issues Forum].

How reasonable is it to accuse me of being misleading and making groundless speculations when I simply reported what was said to me?

I prefer to have my name removed from the e-mail, thank you.

Your recent posting contained a lot of misleading and just plain wrong assumptions about what Lake Street businesses think about the Access Project, the role of the Phillips Partnership and what Smith Parker is doing. I invite you to contact me to arrange a time for you and discuss the Project by phone or to meet for the same purpose. If you choose to not contact me, then please refrain from posting your speculations that are completely groundless and insulting to those citizens, residents, businesses and non-profit organizations that have worked hard for years to bring the Project to it's current status. They know better. TOM J
