R.T. "M.T." Rybak

The ancient greeks had Janus, the two-faced deity who could simultaneously say and do opposing things - but before you begin longing for the luck of the ancient greeks, realize that we Minneapolitans have been blessed, in our fair city, with a man who is no less able to talk from both sides of his mouth - and he holds public office ! (well, no surprise there).

"M.T." R.T. is such a man, we are lucky to have him. We can hear him criticize Robert Lilligren on the Excess Project one year ago: "For many months I've been trying to get a sense of where Robert is at on this very complicated project." (this after Lilligren, who has been publicly opposed to the project since at least 2001, spoke of the handshake deals that are moving this project forward).

As for himself, R.T. has yet (almost a full year after his criticism of Lilligren) to make any public statement at all, choosing instead to ignore repeated requests to indicate his position on this project.

And just to show us who's the boss, he names a Smith Parker attorney to our City's brand new CPED (Planning + MCDA) department (for only $100,500 a year). Oh the marvels of bedmates !
