... and this is what they want do to Lake Street.

 

Seven lanes, double turn lanes, medians in the middle, the whole northern edge of Lake Street gets shifted north - right to the space where businesses are now functioning, employing people, and paying taxes - and also providing services for people in our neighborhood, and helping bring life and activity to Lake Street, and making our city work like a city, instead of some suburban vision plopped right in the middle of Lake (take a visit to Hiawatha and Lake to see how that functions and feels in fair Minneapolis).

 

And no, this is not an optical illusion. This drawing is shown at the same scale the one in the prior page. Lake Street does actually get that much bigger in the Excess Project plan.
